Awards

There will be an award for the best paper for the conference.

The awards will be presented at the conference dinner event. All nominated papers will be indicated so in the final program.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit a paper for a special issue of Data and Knowledge Engineering (DKE, an Elsevier Science Journal). Information can be found on the conference website (see under Best Papers).

Conference facilities

The conference will be hosted at S-Block at QUT's Gardens Point campus. The conference main sessions and coffee breaks will be at OJW Room on Level 12. Workshops and so on will be hosted in various rooms on Level 5.

The Customs Enquires desk is located on Level 1 of the Brisbane International airport. Please note that all baggage being brought into Australia is subject to screening by Australian Customs and the Australian Quarantine & Inspection Service for prohibited goods. Nursing facilities for parents with young children will be available during the conference.

For those who are traveling with young children, you may contact your respective accommodation venues for baby sitting/ child minding services. Also, there are childcare centres at the Garden Point campus. For more information, visit the QUT Guild Childcare website.

Praying Facilities

QUT caters for your emotional and spiritual needs through the provision of chaplaincy services. The chaplaincy centres are ecumenical and, although the chaplains represent the major Christian denominations, they are also available to people of other religions. The chaplains are available at any time and are happy to discuss matterns of a spiritual, religious, ethical or personal nature.

A chapel is available at the Gardens Point campus for quiet prayer, worship services and prayer meetings. The centre has a room with tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a Muslim Mosque in rooms adjacent to the main chaplaincy rooms.

Proceedings

All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings published by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. Conference proceedings will be made available to the registered participants in the print and CD form as part of their registration package.

A number of Mini Sabbaticals will be available to Delegates of the BPM 2007 conference. They are predominantly designed for Early Career Researchers (ECR), to enable them to collaborate with leading industry and academia. To be considered as an Early Career Researcher, you will have to have got a PhD within the last five years.
